Why Flash?
I
use flash a lot. Its a much more - cross browser friendly
API and great for navigation deployment.
Back in the day, the .html document was the main data
display method. Today to display multimedia data sets,
web documents and web viewers come in many types.
Display compatibility becomes much more of an issue
then just an ugly color palette choice. With the many
pop up ads on the net, the pop-up window / extra player
combination can loose its user interest.
A method that keeps the users in the same window has
dual advantages. The single shell helps keep track of
data and variables, while the end user also has a feeling
of continuity. At least for now that's why flash.
